Celebrations are designed to gather persons with disAbilities from
the community, to celebrate their gifts and potential. These
gatherings raise awareness of those in need within our own
community. They are to welcome those who are differently-abled
into our lives as we celebrate each one's God-given dignity and
show them love and kindness.

Celebrations are held at various locations around Snohomish
County including: Forest Park Pool in Everett, Warm Beach
Campground in Stanwood, and Haller Park in Arlington.  Many are
held at local area churches. If you have a location or are interested
in your church co-sponsoring an event, please
contact us for
further specific details on what might be involved. If your church
building site may be too small,
contact us with your interest, and we
will connect/partner you with another event location; i.e. our
Summer Camps at Warm Beach, our Pirate Bash or the Annual
Walk & Roll, Run in Arlington.

These events not only encourage persons with disAbilities who
spend much of their time alone and isolated, but they also provide a
window of opportunity for them to meet others who may have similar
needs and concerns. To be introduced to a new friend and be
welcomed into a church building without judgement or discomfort,
but being shown love, care, and compassion in a safe environment
provides a very positive experience.

Guests who come to these celebrations often come with their group
home and ride public transportation with a caregiver. Others arrive
with friends or family members. Our Celebrations welcome persons
with disAbilities, their caregivers, family, and others interested. Most
Celebrations include a meal and entertainment by local persons
who themselves have disAbilities. Our annual Hawaiian Luau and
Special Friends Camp at Warm Beach include all kinds of
entertainment, live band, sports and activities.
